THURSDAY 17TH APRIL 2008
Following months of anticipation, the MISS TOP MODEL UK 2008 GRAND FINAL took place on Thursday 17th April 2008 at the magnificent Porchester Hall, London - A superb, top-class Victorian show venue. Along with the Miss Top Model UK Grand Final, this outstanding venue recently hosted BBC live televised events, The British Fashion Council, and concerts by Status Quo, The Feeling, Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen, to name but a few.
The industry elite, corporate guests, public and VIP's mixed & mingled with press, agents, models, designers, top photographers, and the 'Movers & Shakers' of the UK fashion industry. All in attendance witnessed a thrilling night of fashion & entertainment, whilst also raising awareness & funds for Breast Cancer through leading national charity 'Walk The Walk'.
The evening fashion show saw all 28 Grand Finalists take to the runway for three differing looks - 'Tres Chic' Gowns & Evening Wear, 'Blue Glue' Bikini, and Freestyle 'Fashionista' outfits. Following these three walks, the judges deliberated and selected a short-list of 15 girls who all walked for a fourth time.
From this final select 15 girls, the judges chose the three runners-up, and the overall winner of 'MISS TOP MODEL UK 2008'. In addition, sponsored on-the-night awards were presented to individuals who the judges or sponsors felt excelled in specific areas.
The audience were also entertained by two superb vocalists; Operatic starlet Celene Bridge who opened the show with a truly wonderful rendition of O Mio Babbino Caro, and Nathalie Miranda, a sassy soul singer who raised the roof with a 5 song masterclass and is a big star in waiting.

The entry deadline has now closed for our 2008 event and our finalists have been chosen. All Grand Finalists are undiscovered, new model talent, and have little or no experience.

The MISS TOP MODEL UK 2009 search will commence later this year with entries being accepted from SEPTEMBER 1ST 2008. Short-Listed entrants will meet the judging panel for Grand Final selection interviews in DECEMBER 2008, in London, (Dates TBC).
